The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), the OCP Group, and private partners signed a strategic partnership agreement on Tuesday in M’diq to establish a National Football Training Fund. This fund is dedicated to professionalizing training centers and promoting young talents in the sport.

Aligned with the Royal Directives regarding football, which advocate for efficient and transparent governance as well as investment in both infrastructure and human capital, this partnership aims to contribute to the national effort to develop football and promote excellence in the field.

The partnership is based on pooling the expertise and resources of the three parties to enhance and upgrade training centers across the Kingdom by equipping them with modern infrastructure, efficient facility management, and advanced technical expertise.

Speaking on this occasion, Mostafa Terrab, Chairman and CEO of OCP Group, expressed his satisfaction with the FRMF’s achievements in recent years and the pride they have brought to Moroccans. He also highlighted OCP Group’s pride in contributing to the creation of this fund alongside the Federation and the opportunities it presents.

Fouzi Lekjaa, President of the FRMF, stated that the signing of this agreement, which aligns with the enlightened vision of HM King Mohammed VI for promoting national sports, marks an important step in the process of developing and upgrading Moroccan football.

This agreement aims to provide young boys and girls of various age groups across the Kingdom with the opportunity to play football and receive training in conducive and professional conditions, enabling young Moroccans to showcase their talents and for national football to meet the expectations of Moroccans to compete with major teams internationally.

The National Training Fund is based on a business model that focuses on training high-level players and integrating them into professional clubs, thus ensuring the project’s sustainability.

The project, managed by a specialized company under the technical supervision of the National Technical Directorate of the FRMF, aims to create a new model of training and operational excellence in football development, offering young players high-level integrated coaching, fostering their growth in a professional environment.

The training centers will also contribute to strengthening social inclusion, cohesion, and the well-being of young people while promoting the development and enhancement of youth and sports in Morocco.
