On Tuesday, Moroccan international Noussair Mazraoui signed with the English football club Manchester United, coming from Bayern Munich (Germany), the club announced.
The Moroccan defender signed with the « Red Devils » until June 2028, with an option to extend the contract for an additional year, the club stated. « It’s an incredible feeling to be a Manchester United player, » Mazraoui said, adding that he joins the club « at an exciting time. »
« Everyone I’ve spoken to shares the same ambition of winning trophies, and I can feel the determination to achieve that, » said the Moroccan international.
For his part, Manchester United’s sporting director Dan Ashworth praised the Moroccan player’s qualities, calling him « a dynamic and offensive defender who can play both on the right and left sides of the defense. » Mazraoui’s experience and versatility will make him « an excellent asset for our team, » he said.
