No changes for the national women’s team. The Atlas Lionesses maintain their 59th place in the FIFA world ranking, published this Friday, August 8.
With a total of 1426.09 points, the Atlas Lionesses are also ranked third in Africa, behind Nigeria (first) and South Africa (second).
At the top of the podium, the U.S. national team regained the first position thanks to their gold medal victory at the 2024 Paris Olympics, while England holds the second spot. Spain, after losing two matches in Paris—the semi-final against Brazil and the bronze medal match against Germany—has dropped to third place, with Germany maintaining their fourth position.
