Casablanca Stock Exchange Opens with a Slight Gain

The Casablanca Stock Exchange began trading on a positive note this Friday, with its main index, the MASI, advancing by 0.04% to reach 13,941.01 points.

The MASI.20 index, which tracks the 20 most liquid stocks, also rose by 0.05%, reaching 1,130.47 points. Meanwhile, the MASI.ESG index, which measures companies based on ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) criteria as published by Moody’s ESG Solutions, saw a slight increase of 0.03%, reaching 1,015.24 points.

The MASI Mid and Small Cap index, a thematic index that tracks the performance of small and medium-sized companies listed on the Casablanca Stock Exchange, climbed by 0.21% to 1,289.67 points.

Among individual stocks, the top gainers were Ib Maroc.Com (+9.95% to 42.55 dirhams), Jet Contractors (+7.89% to 793 dirhams), Fenie Brossette (+3.51% to 118 dirhams), Disway (+2.9% to 683.8 dirhams), and Stokvis Nord Afrique (+2.42% to 15.21 dirhams).

Conversely, the biggest losers were Delta Holding (-3.69% to 49.01 dirhams), Réalisations Mécaniques (-3.21% to 503.2 dirhams), Hps (-2.91% to 568 dirhams), Ennakl (-1.65% to 32.79 dirhams), and Stroc Industrie (-1.13% to 61.3 dirhams).

On Thursday, the MASI had closed with a gain of 0.19%.
