The transfer market has left a bitter taste for Hakim Ziyech. Hoping to leave Galatasaray, he removed all photos related to the club from his Instagram account. However, his desired return to Ajax Amsterdam seems unlikely. According to Turkish media, the Moroccan international might instead be heading to Olympiakos.
This is an unexpected development. Despite the transfer window being closed, Hakim Ziyech continues to be the subject of rumors about a departure from Galatasaray. The 31-year-old midfielder, who was previously linked with a return to Ajax, reportedly had no concrete contact with the Dutch club.
Instead, according to Spor Time, Olympiakos has shown interest in signing Hakim Ziyech. Galatasaray is said to be demanding a minimum of 3 million euros for the transfer, and negotiations are reportedly progressing well.
Ziyech no longer appears to be in Okan Buruk’s plans, as he hasn’t played a full match this season. In the last two league games, against Konyaspor (a 2-1 win) and Adana Demirspor (a 5-1 win), the former Chelsea player remained on the bench for the entire duration of the matches.
