Morocco Secures Sixth Medal at Paris 2024 Paralympics with Saïda Amoudi

Moroccan athlete Saïda Amoudi won the bronze medal today, Tuesday, in the shot put (F34) at the ongoing Paralympic Games in Paris.

Amoudi secured this medal by finishing in third place with a throw of 7.80 meters, achieving her best performance of the year.

The gold medal went to China’s Zhiu Li Juan, the world record holder for the event with 9.25 meters, who threw 9.14 meters, surpassing Poland’s Lucyna Kornobis who recorded 8.33 meters.

This is Morocco’s sixth medal at the Paris 2024 Paralympics, following bronze medals won by runner Ayoub Haddawi in the 100 meters (T47), Ayoub Adouich in the under 63 kg category (F44), and Rjaâ Akrash in the over 65 kg category in para-taekwondo, as well as silver medals won by runner Fatima Zahra Idrissi in the 1500 meters (T13) and Abdellah Kani in the shot put.
