Casablanca Stock Exchange Opens with a Slight Increase

The Casablanca Stock Exchange began trading on Wednesday with a slight increase, as its main index « MASI » rose by 0.06%, settling at 13,903.85 points.

The « MASI.20 » index, reflecting the performance of 20 listed companies, saw growth of 0.18% to 1,129.08 points. Meanwhile, the MASI.ESG index, representing companies with the highest ESG rankings, decreased by 0.03%, landing at 1,006.47 points.

On the other hand, the « MASI Mid and Small Cap » index, which tracks the performance of small and medium-sized listed companies, remained stable at 1,284.89 points.

In terms of individual stocks, the biggest gains were seen by « SNEP » (+2.41% / 504.9 dirhams), « Sonasid » (+1.84% / 830 dirhams), « Jet Contractors » (+1.34% / 750 dirhams), « Cosumar » (+1.09% / 186 dirhams), and « Mars Maroc » (+1.01% / 383.95 dirhams).

Conversely, the biggest declines were recorded by « Stroc Industrie » (-9.68% / 50.41 dirhams), « Cartier Saada » (-5.75% / 37.7 dirhams), « Stokvis North Africa » (-4.13% / 16.01 dirhams), « Afma » (-2.44% / 1,200 dirhams), and « TotalEnergies Marketing Maroc » (-2.28% / 1,417 dirhams).

The « MASI » index had closed Tuesday’s session with a loss of 0.52%.
