Moroccan athlete Moncef Bouja qualified on Wednesday for the final of the 400m (T12 category) in athletics at the ongoing Paralympic Games in Paris.
Bouja secured his spot in the final by finishing first in the first qualifying heat with a time of 48.98 seconds, ahead of Thailand’s Tissaman Kisanaphong, who clocked 50.68 seconds. Zambian athlete Lasam Katongo came in third with a time of 58.77 seconds.
Meanwhile, his compatriot Abdeslam Hili was disqualified from the third qualifying heat after making a false start.
The 400m final is scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday, at 10:00 AM local time.
