The month of Rabie-I 1446 AH will begin on Thursday, September 5, 2024, and Eid Al Mawlid Annabaoui will be celebrated on Monday, September 16, the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs announced on Tuesday evening.
According to the Ministry’s statement, the observation of the lunar crescent for the month of Rabie-I 1446 took place on Tuesday, Safar 29, 1446 AH, corresponding to September 3, 2024, after sunset. The statement notes that « all the Islamic affairs delegates in the Kingdom and the Royal Armed Forces units involved in the observation confirmed the non-sighting » of the lunar crescent.
As a result, the month of Safar will have 30 days, and Rabie-I 1, 1446 AH will begin on Thursday, September 5, 2024. Eid Al Mawlid Annabaoui will be celebrated on Monday, September 16, according to the same source.
