Morocco Faces Angola in U18 African Basketball Championship Quarterfinal

The Moroccan U18 men’s national basketball team will face Angola tomorrow, Thursday, in the quarterfinals of the 2024 African Basketball Championship, held in Pretoria, South Africa.

In this crucial match, the Moroccan team will need to show strength and deliver a performance worthy of their reputation to overcome Angola, one of the top teams in Africa.

The Moroccan players will enter this game with high spirits after their big win against South Africa, but they must avoid mistakes, seize opportunities, and distribute their physical effort throughout the game to prevent exhaustion.

In the opening match of Group C, Morocco defeated Zambia (84-67) before losing to Rwanda (55-51) last Friday in the second round.

It is worth noting that 12 teams are competing in this tournament, divided into three groups. The first group includes Tunisia, Cameroon, Rwanda, and South Africa; the second group features Angola, Mali, Morocco, and Zambia; while the third group comprises Uganda, Egypt, Nigeria, and Zimbabwe.
