Moroccan National U18 Athletics Team Honored at Mohammed V Airport

A ceremony was held this Tuesday at Casablanca’s Mohammed V International Airport to honor the Moroccan national U18 athletics team, who ranked first in the 10th edition of the Arab U18 Championship, organized from September 12 to 15 in Taif, Saudi Arabia.

The Moroccan team topped the medal standings with a total of 31 medals: 10 gold, 13 silver, and 8 bronze.
On this occasion, Mohamed Nouri, spokesperson for the Moroccan Royal Athletics Federation, highlighted the remarkable participation of Moroccan athletes in all technical and middle-distance events, praising the role of regional centers, clubs, and leagues in training these young champions.
Said Bousi, a runner from the Mohammed VI International Athletics Academy in Ifrane, expressed her happiness after winning the gold medal in the 800-meter race. Abdelghafour Ahizon, who won silver in the 2000-meter steeplechase, also thanked the Federation for its support.
This championship, which ended last Sunday, featured around 20 sports disciplines and saw participation from 18 Arab countries.
