The poster for the highly anticipated second season of « Squid Game » has been revealed, with the premiere set for December 26.
The poster shows a man in a green tracksuit being pulled along a colorful track by a masked guard dressed in pink. Behind the guard is a rectangular gift box with a pink ribbon, and the words « The game will never stop » written on it.
The first season was a global sensation, recording the highest viewing hours in Netflix’s history. Director Hwang Dong-hyuk won an Emmy Award, and actor Lee Jung-jae received the award for Best Lead Actor.
In season two, the story continues with the protagonist, Seong Gi-hun (played by Lee), who, despite winning the game, chooses not to go to America and instead returns with a new purpose.
The second season will feature returning cast members from the first season, alongside new actors including Im Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Lee Jin-wook, and Choi Seung-hyun.
Netflix also announced in August that it is working on a third season, with plans to release it next year.
