Two young girls tragically drowned in the Todgha Valley, Tinghir Province, after being swept away by water while trying to swim in a deep hole in the river.
According to local sources, the victims were from the Akdim Taghzout Nait Aata neighborhood in Tinghir. They were on an outing near the river when they decided to swim, only to meet a tragic fate by drowning in the hole.
Local authorities and civil protection personnel quickly arrived at the scene, recovering the girls’ bodies and transporting them to the morgue. An investigation has been launched to uncover the details and causes of the accident.
