His Majesty King Mohammed VI has sent a message of condolences and compassion to the family members of the prominent journalist, the late Belaid Bouimid, who passed away on Tuesday in Casablanca.
In this message, the King expressed his deep sorrow upon learning the news of Bouimid’s passing, asking the Almighty to accept him among the righteous and to grant him a place in His vast paradise.
« In this painful moment, as the divine will is inevitable, we extend to you, and through you to all the relatives, friends of the deceased, and to his national media and sports family, our heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathy. His loss marks the passing of one of the pioneers of sports journalism in Morocco, who, with his broad knowledge and creativity bestowed by God, contributed significantly to the development of sports journalism in our country and enriched its national library, » the Sovereign wrote.
The King shared the grief of the deceased’s family during this difficult time, recalling with great respect Bouimid’s moral values and sincere patriotism.
« We pray to God to grant you patience and comfort, and the best rewards for the deceased, welcoming him into His vast paradise as a tribute to his honorable service to his country, » added the message.
« And give glad tidings to the patient who, when afflicted with calamity, say: ‘Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return.’ Verily, God speaks the truth, » the message concluded.
