The Casablanca Stock Exchange began its trading on Monday with an upward trend. The main index, « MASI », advanced by 0.3%, reaching 14,492.87 points.
The « MASI.20 » index, which tracks the performance of the top 20 listed companies, gained 0.25% to settle at 1,172.21 points. Additionally, the « MASI.ESG », an index for companies with the best ESG (environmental, social, and governance) rankings, grew by 0.1% to 1,038.77 points.
The « MASI Mid and Small Cap », which reflects the performance of small and medium-sized listed companies, rose significantly by 0.78%, reaching 1,372.46 points.
Among individual stocks, the top gainers were « Etablissements Dar Saada » (+7.10% at MAD 73.79), « TotalEnergies Marketing Maroc » (+6.06% at MAD 1,750), « Travaux Généraux de Construction de Casablanca » (+5.43% at MAD 427), « Marsamaroc » (+4.32% at MAD 459), and « Cartier Saada » (+3.90% at MAD 37.82).
Conversely, the biggest losses were recorded by « Disway » (-5% at MAD 655.5), « Hightech Payment Systems » (-4.27% at MAD 560), « Atlanta Sanad » (-2.93% at MAD 136), « Transport » (-2.67% at MAD 33.51), and « Ciments du Maroc » (-2.54% at MAD 1,802).
It is worth noting that the « MASI » index ended last Friday’s trading with a gain of 0.55%.
