Casablanca Stock Exchange starts trading on a positive note

The Casablanca Stock Exchange began trading this Tuesday with an upward trend, as the main index « MASI » advanced by 0.37%, reaching 14,426.34 points.

The « MASI.20 » index, reflecting the performance of 20 listed companies, recorded a gain of 0.2% to settle at 1,164.46 points. Meanwhile, the MASI.ESG index, which tracks companies with the best ESG ratings, increased by 0.4% to 1,034.43 points.

The « MASI Mid and Small Cap » index, which measures the performance of small and medium-sized enterprises, rose by 0.64% to 1,368.38 points.

In terms of individual stocks, the biggest increases were recorded by « Jet Contractors » (+6.94% / 1,048 dirhams), « La Société Maghrébine de Monétique » (+4.19% / 240 dirhams), « Taqa Morocco » (+3.45% / 1,500 dirhams), « Total Energies Marketing Maroc » (+3.1% / 1,794 dirhams), and « SNEP » (+2.85% / 489.55 dirhams).

On the other hand, the biggest declines were registered by « Société des Boissons du Maroc » (-8.06% / 2,360 dirhams), « Stroc Industrie » (-7.88% / 56 dirhams), « Disway Technologies » (-5.29% / 232 dirhams), « Banque Marocaine pour le Commerce et l’Industrie » (-4.56% to 582.2 dirhams), and « Stockvis North Africa » (-2.4% / 15.46 dirhams).

The MASI index had ended Monday’s session with a loss of 0.53%.
