His location was discovered thanks to detailed intelligence from Morocco’s General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance (DGST). The suspect was one of five dangerous criminals who escaped from a Portuguese prison on September 7, 2024. He was serving a 25-year sentence for armed robbery and now faces a maximum sentence of 31 years. He is currently in custody awaiting extradition procedures.
