The Casablanca Stock Exchange began trading this Wednesday with a rise, as its main index, « MASI, » increased by 0.63%, reaching 14,107.65 points.
The « MASI.20 » index, which reflects the performance of 20 listed companies, gained 0.77% to settle at 1,134.51 points, while the « MASI.ESG, » an index for companies with the best ESG ratings, grew by 0.63% to 1,012.1 points.
Meanwhile, the « MASI Mid and Small Cap » index, which tracks the performance of small and medium-sized companies, saw a 0.33% rise to 1,347.24 points.
Among individual stocks, the highest gains were recorded by « LafargeHolcim Maroc » (+3.22% / 1,894 MAD), « Managem » (+2.26% / 2,720 MAD), « Sonasid » (+1.47% / 829 MAD), « Douja Promotion Groupe Addoha » (+1.39% / 34.99 MAD), and « Alliances » (+1.37% / 296 MAD).
Conversely, the biggest declines were seen in « SNEP » (-1.6% / 462.5 MAD), « Aradei Capital » (-0.96% / 515 MAD), « Mars Maroc » (-0.59% / 422.5 MAD), « CFG Bank » (-0.46% / 184.15 MAD), and « Bank of Africa » (-0.11% / 190 MAD).
The « MASI » index had closed the previous trading session on Tuesday with a 0.97% loss.
