A police officer from the motorcycle squad in the Al Rahma security zone of Casablanca had to use his service weapon as a precautionary measure in the early hours of Thursday, October 10th. This was necessary to arrest two individuals, aged 25 and 31, one of whom had a criminal record, after they refused to comply and posed a serious threat to the officers by throwing stones at them.
The motorcycle patrol had initiated the arrest of the suspects due to suspicions of their involvement in violent thefts and robberies using a motorcycle. However, the suspects resisted violently by throwing stones, which led the officer to fire a warning shot into the air to mitigate the danger.
This preventive use of the weapon successfully neutralized the threat posed by the suspects, allowing their arrest and the seizure of the motorcycle used in their criminal activities. The suspects are now under judicial investigation under the supervision of the competent prosecutor’s office to uncover all the circumstances and details of this case, as well as to determine the criminal acts attributed to them.
