Algerian Citizen with French Nationality Arrested in Marrakech for Fraud and Data Hacking

Police officers in Marrakech arrested a 20-year-old Algerian citizen with French nationality on the evening of Thursday, October 10th, suspected of being involved in a case related to bank data system hacking and fraud.

The suspect was apprehended at a luxury hotel based on a national arrest warrant issued by the judicial police in Marrakech. He is suspected of hacking into banking card data belonging to others and using it for online reservations and purchases.

During the arrest, the search operation led to the seizure of a SIM card, a mobile phone, and a sum of money believed to be derived from the criminal activities.

The suspect has been placed under custody as part of the ongoing judicial investigation supervised by the competent prosecutor’s office, aiming to uncover all the details, circumstances, and potential accomplices in this case.
