The « Glory » kickboxing organization has announced the suspension of Belgian-Moroccan fighter Jamal Ben Saddik for the third time in his career after testing positive for a banned substance in an out-of-competition doping test conducted last March.

According to Belgian media reports, the 34-year-old athlete will face a ten-month suspension, retroactively applied, making him eligible to return to the ring on January 6th.

The tests confirmed his use of « clomiphene, » a substance classified as banned under the regulations of the World Anti-Doping Agency.

Despite the positive result, Ben Saddik successfully provided evidence of using the substance with a medical prescription, leading to a reduction of his suspension from 12 months to 10 months.

The fighter’s management explained that the mistake was due to Ben Saddik’s failure to declare the medication prescribed by his doctor five months before the test.

This incident marks a new setback in Ben Saddik’s professional career, who has faced similar sanctions before. He is expected to return to competition early next year, with much anticipation surrounding his future in the kickboxing world.
