The General Directorate of Meteorology has reported that severe thunderstorms, with rainfall ranging between 30 and 60 mm, accompanied by hail and locally strong wind gusts (between 70 and 85 km/h), are expected this Monday in several regions of the country.
According to the orange-level alert issued by the Directorate, these thunderstorms will affect the provinces of Midelt, Tinghir, and Errachidia from 8:30 AM to 8:00 PM. Additionally, thunderstorms are anticipated in Taounate, Taza, Tetouan, Béni Mellal, Ifrane, Khénifra, Boulemane, Sefrou, Azilal, Moulay Yacoub, Al Haouz, Al Hoceima, Ouarzazate, Chefchaouen, Fès, and Figuig from noon until 11:00 PM.
The Directorate also noted that locally strong wind gusts are expected in Figuig, Jerada, Guercif, Taourirt, Boulemane, and Midelt from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
