The Casablanca Stock Exchange started its trading session on Wednesday in negative territory, with the main index « MASI » dropping by 0.09%, settling at 13,927.5 points.
The « MASI.20 » index, which reflects the performance of the top 20 listed companies, decreased by 0.07% to reach 1,120.85 points. Meanwhile, the « MASI.ESG » index, representing companies with the best ESG ratings, saw a slight increase of 0.01% to 1,003.52 points.
Conversely, the « MASI Mid and Small Cap » index, tracking small and medium-sized companies, posted a minor gain of 0.01% to 1,325.64 points.
Among individual stocks, the biggest declines were recorded by « Med Paper » (-3.32% at 19.82 dirhams), « Dari Couspate » (-2.15% at 31.8 dirhams), « CIH » (-1.65% at 387.5 dirhams), « Cosumar » (-1.64% at 195.25 dirhams), and « Feniprocess » (-1.55% at 101.4 dirhams).
On the other hand, the biggest gains were achieved by « Mechanical Realizations » (+9.54% at 467.85 dirhams), « Colorado » (+1.54% at 52.79 dirhams), « HPS » (+1.38% at 579.9 dirhams), « Jet Contractors » (+0.83% at 1,099 dirhams), and « AtlantaSanad » (+0.76% at 132 dirhams).
It is worth noting that the « MASI » index closed Tuesday’s session with a 0.78% loss.
