Morocco to Host the 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced on Wednesday that Morocco will host the 2024 edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League finals.

The tournament will take place from November 9 to 23. Morocco previously hosted the competition in 2022, marking the first edition of this women’s club competition in Africa.

Eight clubs will compete for the grand prize, with the champion club receiving $400,000, while the runner-up will be awarded $250,000.

The Moroccan club AS FAR will participate as the host country’s representative, alongside Mamelodi Sundowns from South Africa, Dakar Sacré-Cœur from Senegal, Edo Queens from Nigeria, TP Mazembe from the Democratic Republic of Congo, Commercial Bank from Ethiopia, the University of Western Cape from South Africa, and Toot Ankh Amoun from Egypt.

It is worth mentioning that AS FAR won the CAF Women’s Champions League in 2022, while the previous title was claimed by Mamelodi Sundowns.
