Naouman El Assami, appointed by His Majesty King Mohammed VI as the Director of the Solidarity Fund against Catastrophes, holds a diploma from the Advanced Management Program at the Higher Institute of Commerce and Business Administration (ISCAE) and a postgraduate degree in applied mathematics, specializing in numerical and statistical analysis.
Since 2023, El Assami has served as Deputy Director of Treasury and External Finance, overseeing the financial sector division.
Between 2007 and 2013, he held the position of Head of the Loans Department at the Directorate of Treasury and External Finance, after serving as Head of the Real Estate and Industrial Credit Division within the same directorate from 2004 to 2007, and Head of the Public Sector Financial Analysis Department at the Kingdom’s General Treasury from 2002 to 2004.
He also worked as an executive in the public treasury service at the Directorate of Treasury and External Finance between 1997 and 2002.
