Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that an armed attack earlier this Wednesday in the capital, Ankara, left five people dead and 14 injured. In a post on social media platform X, the Turkish official stated, « Two terrorists were neutralized in the terrorist attack that targeted the facilities of the Turkish Aerospace Industries in Ankara. » He added, « Sadly, we have three martyrs and 14 injured in the attack. » Earlier, Anadolu News Agency reported an « explosion around 4 PM (local time) at the company’s entrance, followed by gunfire. » The agency also mentioned that employees were directed to shelters for protection. The area has been cordoned off, and security forces, firefighters, and paramedics were dispatched to the scene, according to Anadolu.
