Marrakech to Host the 2024 CAF Awards for the Second Consecutive Year

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced today, Thursday, that the city of Marrakech will host the 2024 CAF Awards ceremony on December 16, marking the second consecutive year the city has been chosen.

In its statement, CAF noted that Marrakech will once again welcome « this renowned event, following the previous edition that saw the attendance of many celebrities and was a resounding success. » The exact time for the event will be announced at a later date.

The last edition saw Nigerian player Victor Osimhen crowned as the African Player of the Year in the men’s category, while his compatriot Asisat Oshoala claimed the award in the women’s category.

The CAF Awards honor the outstanding achievements of African footballers, both at the club and national team levels, with the prestigious African Player of the Year awards for men and women being the highlight of the event.
