Over 30,000 budgeted positions created under the 2024 Finance Bill

The report on human resources accompanying the 2024 Finance Bill reveals that the government has created a total of 30,034 budgeted positions for ministries and institutions.

According to the report, published on the website of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, these positions are mainly distributed among the Ministry of Interior with 26.45%, the National Defense Administration (23.3%), and the Ministry of Health and Social Protection (18.31%).

The report emphasizes that priority was given to the social and security sectors to meet their essential human resource needs.

It also mentions that the Prime Minister, under his authority, allocated an additional 500 budgeted positions across various ministries and institutions, with 200 positions reserved for the employment of people with disabilities.

The study of the evolution of job creation shows a clear understanding of the government’s priorities regarding the provision of human resources in key sectors.

Between 2014 and 2024, a total of 264,812 budgeted positions were created, along with 159,000 additional jobs within regional education and training academies, aimed at recruiting teachers for primary and secondary schools.

Social and security sectors received 63% of the total job creation during this period, focusing on the Ministry of Interior, National Education, Higher Education, and Health.

Additionally, 38.4% of the newly created positions were for managerial roles (category 10 and above), with 101,607 jobs created, averaging 9,237 per year.

For mid-level positions (categories 7 to 9), 10% of the jobs were created, totaling 26,647 positions with an annual average of 2,422.

Finally, for basic-level positions (category 6), 136,557 jobs were created, representing 51.6% of total job creation, with an average of 12,414 positions per year.
