The General Directorate of Meteorology has reported that heavy rains, snowfall, and cold weather are expected from Monday to Wednesday in various regions of the Kingdom.
In an orange-level warning, the Directorate mentioned that heavy rains (between 35 and 50 mm), sometimes accompanied by thunderstorms, hail, and strong winds, will affect areas like Taourirt, Figuig, Guercif, Boulemane, Errachidia, Tinghir, and Midelt, from Monday at 1 p.m. until Tuesday at 6 a.m.
Additionally, moderate rainfall (between 25 and 35 mm) will affect Ouarzazate, Al Haouz, Sefrou, Taza, Béni Mellal, and other regions from 1 p.m. until 11 p.m. on Monday.
Rainfall amounts of 40 to 70 mm are also expected in the provinces of Larache, Ouezzane, Chefchaouen, Skhirat-Témara, Rabat, and others, from Tuesday 10 a.m. until Wednesday noon.
The Directorate also warned of snowfalls expected over elevations above 2000 meters, with snow accumulation ranging from 10 to 40 cm, particularly in Boulemane, Azilal, Khénifra, Ifrane, and Béni Mellal.
Finally, cold temperatures, ranging from -3°C to 3°C, are forecasted for regions like Azilal, Béni Mellal, Al Haouz, and others, from Monday to Wednesday.
