Born on April 14, 1934, Hassan Youssef was both an actor and director, leaving a significant mark on the film industry. He gained fame in the 1960s for playing the role of the « rebellious young man. » In the 1970s, he shifted towards directing, where he directed and acted in several films. Youssef also had a notable career in television and theater. His most famous roles include his appearances in the television series « Leilet El Helmiya » and his portrayal in « Imam of the Preachers, » a series about the life of Sheikh Mohamed Metwally El-Shaarawy. In January 2024, he announced his retirement from acting.
