Government Council Meeting Led by Aziz Akhannouch

The Government Council will convene tomorrow, Thursday, under the leadership of Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch.

According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, the council will first review two draft decrees. The first pertains to defining the responsibilities and organization of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and African Cooperation, while the second focuses on amending the decree on the list of diplomas and certificates issued by institutions affiliated with Al Quaraouiyine University.

Subsequently, the council will discuss the protocol for amending the convention on crimes committed aboard aircraft, adopted in Montreal on April 4, 2014. This will be followed by an extradition agreement between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Kingdom of the Netherlands, signed in Rabat on December 18, 2023. Two draft laws for the approval of the protocol and the extradition agreement will also be considered.

The council will conclude its session by reviewing proposals for senior appointments in accordance with Article 92 of the Constitution. Afterward, a special meeting will be held to discuss certain legislative proposals.
