The Casablanca Stock Exchange began trading this Thursday with a slight decline as its main index, MASI, fell by 0.06% to settle at 14,174.44 points.
The MASI.20 index, representing the performance of the top 20 listed companies, also recorded a 0.03% drop, settling at 1,142.87 points. Meanwhile, the MASI.ESG index, which tracks companies with the best ESG ratings, fell by 0.1% to 1,013.23 points.
In contrast, the MASI Mid and Small Cap index, which tracks small and medium-sized companies, gained 0.24%, reaching 1,386.02 points.
Among individual stocks, the largest declines were seen in Société des Boissons du Maroc (-3.8% at 2,352 MAD), Delta Holding (-1.65% at 53 MAD), CIH (-1.1% at 400.55 MAD), Marsa Maroc (-1.05% at 460 MAD), and Colorado (-0.96% at 50.5 MAD).
On the other hand, the best-performing stocks included Crédit du Maroc (+4.83% at 955 MAD), Transport (+3.1% at 33.3 MAD), Ciments du Maroc (+2.41% at 1,824 MAD), Cartier Saada (+1.9% at 34.85 MAD), and Travaux Généraux de Casablanca (+1.82% at 430 MAD).
