The Casablanca Stock Exchange started trading this Monday with a slight uptick. Its main index, MASI, rose by 0.08%, settling at 14,281.70 points.
The MASI.20 index, which reflects the performance of the top 20 listed companies, increased by 0.24%, reaching 1,154.63 points. Similarly, the MASI.ESG index, which includes companies with high ESG scores, advanced by 0.09% to 1,022.27 points.
The MASI Mid and Small Cap index, which tracks the performance of small and medium-sized companies on the exchange, also gained 0.26%, reaching 1,396.91 points.
Among individual stocks, the strongest gains were made by Med Paper (+3.30% to 20.96 MAD), Auto Hall (+2.52% to 69.70 MAD), Stokvis North Africa (+2.32% to 15.00 MAD), LafargeHolcim Morocco (+1.77% to 1,894.00 MAD), and Colorado (+1.75% to 51.88 MAD).
Conversely, the biggest declines were seen in Maghreb Oxygene (-8.95% to 213.05 MAD), Disway (-3.74% to 640.10 MAD), Fenie Brossette (-2.68% to 109.00 MAD), Banque Immobilière et Touristique (-2.68% to 396.10 MAD), and CFG Bank (-1.62% to 182.50 MAD).
As a reminder, the MASI index ended last Friday’s session with a 0.72% increase.
