Four Arrested in Casablanca for Involvement in Human Trafficking and Illegal Migration Network

In the early hours of Monday, November 4, police in the Bernoussi district of Casablanca arrested four individuals suspected of being part of a criminal network involved in organizing illegal migration and human trafficking.

The suspects were apprehended during a security operation on « Nahla » beach in Casablanca, where they were caught preparing to carry out an illegal sea crossing for 36 migrants, all of whom were detained at the scene.

During the operation, authorities seized two inflatable boats, four engines, several barrels of gasoline, along with life jackets and various navigation tools.

The suspects and the detained migrants have been placed under judicial investigation, supervised by the relevant public prosecutor’s office, to uncover all aspects of this case and identify any potential national and international connections.
