Moroccan coach Walid Regragui has announced the squad list for the national team’s upcoming matches against Gabon and Lesotho, as part of the fifth and sixth rounds of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers for Morocco 2025.
The selection includes some surprises, most notably the continued absence of Hakim Ziyech. Abdelhamid Aït Boudlal, Mohamed Chibi, Reda Belhyan, and Amine Adli are also missing due to various reasons.
Regragui has called up Ayoub El Khayati, goalkeeper from AS FAR, for the first time and welcomes back defender Adam Masina.
From the Moroccan league, Salah-Eddine Chahab from MAS Fes and Wydad Casablanca captain Jamal Harkass have both received consecutive calls.
