Development Projects Inaugurated in Larache Province by Local Authorities

The Governor of Larache Province, Al Amine Bouassim, along with Omar Moro, President of the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima Regional Council, inaugurated several development projects on Tuesday, in addition to inspecting various projects across the province.

The tour began with the Ayebika Urban Forest project, one of the largest initiatives undertaken by the city council, with a total investment of 35 million MAD. The governor and accompanying officials reviewed the progress and visited newly developed sections.

Additionally, a new road linking the regional road 417 and provincial road 4402 via Ain Ktaâ in Khemis Sahel was inaugurated. With a cost of 17.61 million MAD, this project is part of the regional program aimed at reducing territorial disparities.

An important drinking water supply project for villages in the Zouada commune, valued at 15 million MAD, was also inaugurated. The Regional Council handled the distribution network, while the National Office of Electricity and Drinking Water was responsible for production under the 2022-2027 National Water Supply Program.

Furthermore, another unclassified road was inaugurated, connecting regional road 410 from the Souk El Kolla commune towards Zaaroura, covering several douars, with an investment of 29.51 million MAD.

Finally, the delegation visited the construction site of the Economic Activities Zone in Kasr Bijir commune. This first phase, with a budget of 87 million MAD, involves several partners, including the Agency for Northern Provinces Development and the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima Regional Council.
