The Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research, and Innovation, Azeddine Madawi, announced this Monday in the House of Representatives that the ministry is currently implementing the settlement reached concerning the medical and pharmacy students’ issues. This aims to ensure a swift and effective resolution.
In response to an oral question, Madawi commended the efforts of all parties involved to allow the students to resume their studies across the country’s medical and pharmacy faculties.
Last Friday, the Ombudsman Institution announced the success of the mediation led between the administration and the medical and pharmacy students. As a result, students returned to their lectures and clinical training, ending the nearly eleven-month-long protest.
A statement from the institution highlighted that this outcome « reflects the joint efforts of all concerned parties and demonstrates the fruitful coordination between the Ombudsman and other stakeholders, fostering a constructive dialogue, building trust, and facilitating the exchange of perspectives, resulting in solutions that are constitutional, legal, effective, and practical in addressing the expressed demands. »
