The « Winners, » a passionate supporters’ group of Wydad Athletic Club, have directed sharp criticism toward Fawzi Lekjaa, President of the Moroccan Royal Football Federation. They hold him accountable for what they describe as the « deterioration » of national football, painting a « bleak image » of the league.

In a statement released yesterday, the « Winners » claimed that Lekjaa shows a « lack of concern for the league’s reputation, » which they argue has declined significantly, especially in terms of refereeing, where « injustices against clubs and fans occur weekly without any intervention. »

The group also pointed to an alleged « conspiracy against Wydad’s interests » through what they consider « unjust referee decisions » and manipulation of VAR, which, they claim, « only operates under orders from the ‘master of football.' »

The « Winners » further expanded their criticism to include the refereeing directorate, questioning its « promoted independence from the professional league » and hinting at « favorable calls for certain teams. »

Alongside Lekjaa, the group also criticized Wydad’s club president, Hicham Aït Manna, expressing disappointment at his « silence and passive response » to what they see as a plot against the team. The statement concluded with a commitment to « refuse submission, » stressing their determination to « demand the club’s rights, » adding, « We won’t sit idly by while our team faces injustice. We expect change, but reality continues to be darker than anticipated. »
