Moroccan National Team Arrives in Gabon for CAN 2025 Qualifiers

The Moroccan national football team arrived in Franceville on Wednesday evening to face Gabon this Friday in the fifth round of the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN) 2025 qualifiers, scheduled to take place from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026, in Morocco.

Morocco’s ambassador to Gabon, Abdellah Sbihi, welcomed the national team delegation upon its arrival at Mvengué Omar Bongo Ondimba Airport, joined by officials from the Gabonese Football Federation and members of the Moroccan embassy.

As the host country, Morocco is already qualified for CAN 2025 and is placed in Group B alongside Gabon, the Central African Republic, and Lesotho.

With 12 points, Morocco leads its group, followed by Gabon (7 points), Central African Republic (3 points), and Lesotho (1 point).

For the final two rounds of qualifiers, head coach Walid Regragui has called up a squad of 26 players.
