The Casablanca Stock Exchange kicked off trading this Tuesday with an upward trend. Its main index, MASI, rose by 0.24%, settling at 14,898.38 points.
Shortly after the opening, key indices showed notable gains. The MASI.20, which reflects the performance of the top 20 listed companies, gained 0.33% to reach 1,205.51 points, while the MASI.ESG, representing companies with the highest ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) ratings, climbed by 0.31% to 1,063.74 points.
Conversely, the MASI Mid and Small Cap, which tracks small and medium-sized listed companies, recorded a slight drop of 0.01%, closing at 1,444.39 points.
It is worth noting that the MASI index ended last Friday’s trading session with a significant gain of 0.76%.
