In the early hours of Tuesday, November 19, police in Safi, in collaboration with the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance (DGST), arrested four individuals suspected of belonging to a criminal network involved in illegal migration and human trafficking.
The suspects were caught in the act, preparing a maritime illegal migration operation for 24 candidates. The operation led to the seizure of 60 liters of fuel, two cars, and a motorcycle allegedly used in these criminal activities.
Both the suspects and the migrants are now under judicial investigation, supervised by the competent public prosecutor. The investigation aims to uncover the circumstances surrounding the case and identify any national or international connections.
This security operation is part of ongoing efforts by the DGSN and DGST to combat illegal migration and human trafficking.
