Police officers from the judicial police division in the Beni Makada security area, Tangier, arrested two individuals, aged 40 and 47, late on Wednesday night, November 20. The suspects are accused of drug possession and distribution.
The arrest took place near Tangier’s bus station, where the suspects were intercepted in a utility vehicle. A subsequent search revealed a package and two large suitcases in the vehicle’s trunk, filled with slabs of hashish weighing a total of 116 kilograms. Additionally, mobile phones allegedly used in the illegal operation were confiscated.
The suspects have been placed in judicial custody under the supervision of the relevant public prosecutor. Investigations aim to uncover the full details of the case and determine any potential connections to a larger criminal network.
