Moroccan international Soufiane Rahimi was instrumental in Al Ain’s commanding 4-2 victory over Al Orouba during the 8th round of the ADNOC UAE Pro League. The match took place at Dibba Al Fujairah Stadium.
Rahimi delivered an outstanding performance, scoring one goal and assisting another in Al Ain’s third goal.
The Moroccan striker opened the scoring in the 13th minute with a brilliant header. Laba Kodjo doubled the lead in the 29th minute.
Just before halftime, Mohammed Awadallah netted the third goal in the 44th minute, courtesy of an assist from Rahimi.
In the second half, Al Ain continued their dominance as Laba Kodjo scored his second and the team’s fourth goal in the 61st minute.
Al Orouba managed to score twice through Mohamed Reda and Gabriel Kak in the 73rd and 78th minutes. A third goal for Al Orouba was disallowed due to a foul on Al Ain’s defender, Kwame.
Rahimi’s goal marks his fourth of the season in the UAE Pro League. Al Ain now sits in 6th place temporarily with 11 points.
