Moroccan actor Saïd Naciri has announced the release of his new film, “Naïda”, on his official YouTube channel. He has chosen not to air it on national TV or present it at festivals.
Naciri explained that the film tackles sensitive social issues affecting Moroccan society, particularly the struggles of impoverished communities and children living in slum-like neighborhoods known as « karyan. » These individuals face significant hardships in their daily lives.
In his statement, Naciri mentioned that the film did not gain approval from Moroccan officials and the government due to its controversial themes. He urged his audience to support the project by promoting it widely on social media, especially through his Instagram accounts.
