The Director General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance, Mr. Abdellatif Hammouchi, received Mrs. Franciska Bustin, Director General of Belgium’s State Security, this Monday, November 25, in Rabat. Mrs. Bustin is leading a high-level security delegation on an official visit to Morocco.

This meeting provided an opportunity to discuss shared internal security concerns, particularly the threats posed by terrorism at regional and international levels, with a focus on the Sahel region.

Mrs. Bustin praised the advanced level of security cooperation between Moroccan and Belgian security services in combating terrorism and extremism. She expressed her country’s desire to further strengthen this partnership to neutralize threats to the security of both nations.

The discussions also emphasized expanding the scope of bilateral cooperation between internal security agencies, facilitating the exchange of information, and sharing expertise to enhance their security partnership.
