The French newspaper La Tribune has revealed that Airbus Helicopters is in advanced negotiations with Morocco for the sale of ten H225M (Caracal) helicopters. These aircraft are intended to bolster the capabilities of the Moroccan Royal Armed Forces.
A report published on Wednesday detailed that the ongoing discussions revolve around the technical specifications of the helicopters, pricing, and contractual terms.
This strategic acquisition aims to enhance the performance of Moroccan forces in areas such as military transport, logistical missions, and rescue operations.
Although the agreement was expected to be announced during President Emmanuel Macron’s visit to Morocco at the end of October or at the Marrakech Air Show, no final deal has yet been signed. The delay is attributed to the complexity of the negotiations.
