Police authorities in Tangier arrested three Pakistani citizens on Thursday, December 12. One of the individuals holds Spanish nationality, while the other two possess Spanish residency permits. They are suspected of involvement in a criminal network specializing in document forgery, facilitating illegal migration, and human trafficking.

Initial investigations reveal that the suspects aided irregular migration for Asian nationals by using stolen identities and travel or residency documents legally issued in Spain but owned by members of the criminal network.

A security database check identified one of the suspects as being wanted at the national level by police at Tangier Port for similar offenses related to facilitating illegal migration.

The suspects are currently in custody as part of a judicial investigation led by the Tangier Judicial Police Department under the supervision of the relevant public prosecutor. The investigation aims to uncover the full scope of the case and its national and international connections.
