The General Directorate of Meteorology forecasts a cold to relatively cold day this Saturday, with localized frost during the morning and night. These conditions will affect the Atlas, Rif, Phosphate, and Oulmès plateaus, the southeastern slopes, the eastern region, and interior plains. Partially cloudy skies are expected in the southern Saharan provinces.
Light and localized rainfall is anticipated along the western Mediterranean coast and northern Rif, along with patches of fog in the Atlantic plains, northern eastern region, Mediterranean coast, and northwest Saharan provinces. Dust dispersion is possible in the south.
Winds will be light to moderate, predominantly from the north or east depending on the region.
Minimum temperatures will range between -5 and 2°C in the High and Middle Atlas, -1 to 4°C on the eastern plateaus, Phosphate and Oulmès plateaus, the Rif, and other mountainous areas. Coastal areas, Souss, and the far south will see temperatures between 12 and 18°C, while the rest of the country will experience temperatures ranging from 5 to 11°C.
During the day, a slight rise in temperatures is expected, particularly in southern regions.
The sea will be calm to slightly choppy in the Mediterranean and the Strait of Gibraltar and slightly choppy to choppy along the Atlantic coast.
