12th Edition of the International Festival for Blind Musicians in Tétouan: A Celebration of Talent

The 12th edition of the International Festival for Blind Musicians will take place in Tétouan from December 19 to 21. Organized by the Louis Braille Association for the Blind with the support of the Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication, this year’s festival is dedicated to artist Mohamed Ben Haqqa and will be hosted at the « Español » Theater.

This unique festival aims to showcase the talents of blind musicians, highlight their artistic creations, and create opportunities for cultural exchange among blind artists from Morocco and around the world. It also seeks to raise awareness about the challenges faced by blind musicians and promote their integration into society.

The festival features an eclectic program, including Andalusian music, international performances, and poetry. Participating artists hail from Morocco, Belgium, Tunisia, Cameroon, and Iraq. The event also includes thematic discussions on topics like « creativity in the face of challenges » and « technology and music, » alongside cultural tours of Tétouan’s historic sites.
