This Wednesday morning, the city of Casablanca witnessed a severe traffic accident involving a truck colliding with the “Ibn Tachafine” tramway station at the intersection of Oqba Ibn Nafi and Al-Hanan Al-Kabir avenues.
The accident occurred when the truck driver lost control of the vehicle, crashing into the station. Two people lost their lives, while two others were rushed to Mohammed V Hospital for treatment. Additionally, the collision caused significant material damage and disrupted traffic in the heavily crowded area.
Local authorities and security services quickly arrived at the scene to regulate traffic and ensure public safety. Meanwhile, the “Casa Tramway” company deployed technical teams to assess the damage and work towards resuming tram operations.
